About the Coordination Office
The courses managed by the Coordination Office aim to develop students’ fundamental knowledge of information technology and digital skills, enabling them to use computer technologies effectively, securely and responsibly in their academic and professional lives.
Course content, practical activities, student monitoring, examinations and grading are managed as an integrated process to support consistent and organised course delivery. Teaching and learning processes are coordinated in collaboration with the relevant academic and administrative units.
Integrated course management
The Coordination Office manages all stages, from course delivery and content monitoring to examination administration and the preparation of course grades.
Courses Managed by the Coordination Office
Courses with BİL codes are offered to Turkish-medium programmes, while their English-language equivalents, identified by COM codes, are offered to English-medium programmes. FCM101 and FCM102 are Foundation courses. The Coordination Office manages teaching and learning, content monitoring, examinations and grading procedures for the following eight courses.
Information Technologies I
Covers fundamental computer concepts, hardware and software, operating systems, office applications, the internet, information security and emerging technologies.
Information Technologies II
Covers Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications, online research, email and online communication, cloud technologies, information security and digital ethics.
Information Technologies – Year-Long Course
Delivered throughout the academic year. Fundamental information technology knowledge and practical digital skills are covered through an integrated course plan with complementary topics.
Foundation Courses
The Coordination Office coordinates the planning, delivery, content monitoring, examinations and grading procedures of these Foundation courses.
Course Monitoring through Moodle
Course materials, weekly content, learning activities, quizzes and announcements are provided through Moodle. Student participation, access to content and assessment processes are monitored using system records and reports.

Our Areas of Responsibility
01 · Course Planning and Delivery
Weekly topic sequences, learning activities and practical applications are planned. Course delivery is monitored to ensure alignment with the established plans.
02 · Content and Materials Management
Presentations, PDF documents, videos, practice files and quizzes are prepared. Content is checked to ensure that it is up to date and consistent with the planned topic sequence.
03 · Student Participation Monitoring
Access to materials, participation in learning activities and quiz completion are monitored. Students receive relevant information and notifications when needed.
04 · Examinations and Assessment
Examination content and assessment criteria are prepared. Examination schedules, communications and administration are coordinated with the relevant units.
05 · Grade Calculation and Reporting
Examination results are checked, and course grades are calculated according to the assessment criteria. Grade lists, transfers to the relevant systems and reporting procedures are managed.
06 · Student Information and Support
Information is provided about course delivery, materials, activities, examinations and grading. Student requests are reviewed, and appropriate guidance is offered.
Information for Students
Students are expected to check the Moodle pages of their registered courses regularly and review course plans, weekly materials, activities and examination announcements. Course delivery methods, participation requirements and assessment criteria are specified on the relevant course page.
